Finding your way forward

Life can feel overwhelming at times. You may be carrying worries that no one else sees, feeling anxious, exhausted, disconnected, or simply not like yourself anymore. Whatever has brought you here, you’re welcome.

At Willow Wolf Therapy, I offer a warm, compassionate and confidential space where you can slow down, feel truly heard and begin to make sense of what’s happening. Together, we’ll explore your experiences at a pace that feels right for you, helping you reconnect with yourself and move towards a life that feels more balanced and authentic.

About Willow Wolf Therapy Services

You don't have to have it all figured out

You don't have to have it all figured out

You don't have to have it all figured out

Many people come to counselling believing they should already know why they’re struggling or what they need to do to feel better. The truth is, you don’t have to arrive with the answers.

Therapy is simply a place to begin.

Whether you’re living with anxiety, low mood, grief, relationship difficulties, stress, burnout, life changes or feeling lost, our work starts wherever you are today. There is no pressure, no expectation and no judgement—just the opportunity to explore your thoughts and feelings in a safe and supportive space.

Working together

You don't have to have it all figured out

You don't have to have it all figured out

Every person experiences life differently, which is why I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to therapy.

My work is rooted in person-centred counselling, meaning I believe you are the expert on your own life. As an integrative counsellor, I also draw on different therapeutic approaches where they may be helpful, always adapting our sessions to suit your individual needs.

Above all, I value the relationship we build together. Feeling safe, accepted and understood creates the foundation for meaningful change, and my aim is to offer that space with warmth, empathy and genuine curiosity.

Finding strength

You don't have to have it all figured out

Finding strength

The name Willow Wolf Therapy reflects the values that sit at the heart of my practice.

The willow reminds us that strength isn’t always about standing firm. Sometimes strength is found in flexibility, allowing ourselves to bend through life’s challenges without losing who we are.

The wolf represents resilience, intuition and connection. Even when we feel lost, we all carry an inner wisdom that can help guide us forwards.

Nature teaches us that growth has its seasons. Healing isn’t rushed, and neither is therapy. Sometimes the smallest, gentlest steps lead to the greatest change.

A little about me

I’m Emma, a qualified integrative counsellor and registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

I believe that therapy should feel like a conversation rather than an assessment—a place where you can be yourself without worrying about saying the right thing.

Outside the therapy room, I find myself returning to nature time and again. It reminds me that healing isn’t linear, that every season has its purpose, and that growth often happens quietly. Those values naturally shape the way I work with the people who choose to share their stories with me.

Frequently Asked Questions

There are many reasons why you may be searching for a counsellor. We all need support at various times in our lives and all for different reasons. Sometimes it might feel as though you are carrying this alone, maybe you are not sure how to cope with it all. Perhaps you feel stuck and would like things to change.

Counselling is a journey that looks different for everyone, with the aim to increase your self awareness and the way you manage your feelings. This is achieved with the support of a qualified therapist who is equipped with the skillset needed to assist you in finding yourself again.

The cost of a counselling session at Willow Wolf Therapy Services is £50 per session.  Concessions are available for trainees.

A typical counselling session at Willow Wolf Therapy Services lasts for 50 minutes.

There are no minimum or maximum limits on the number of sessions you can have.  We will review our work together at regular intervals as we progress and agree when it is a good time to end.

Some people stay for a few sessions to focus on a specific issue, while others choose to work more deeply over a longer period of time.

People come to therapy for many different reasons.

You may be experiencing anxiety, depression, bereavement, stress, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, workplace challenges, menopause, pregnancy or fertility concerns, neurodiversity, or simply feeling overwhelmed by life.

Whatever you’re facing, you don’t have to go through it alone. Therapy offers a space to explore your experiences with compassion and curiosity, helping you understand yourself more deeply and discover new ways of moving forward.

What happens next

Starting counselling can feel like a big step, and it’s completely natural to feel unsure.

Our first session is simply an opportunity for us to meet, talk about what’s brought you here and see whether working together feels right for you. There is no pressure to share everything at once—we’ll move at a pace that feels comfortable.

If you’re considering counselling and something you’ve read has resonated with you, I’d love to hear from you.

You don’t have to know exactly where you’re going.

You only have to take the first step.

You don't have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step
